Note:  Pattern looks more traditional when alternated with no overlap.  Since most batting companies suggest stitching at least every 4 inches, it is suggested that the pattern height not be more than 2 inches (with the traditional/alternating pattern).

Pattern also can produce a very modern look when a negative vertical spacing is used.  This option allows for increased functionality.
