Designed to fit the background of a large Mariner's Compass. The ribbon is about 25 x 25 when the little red square is 1 inch. When finished as a frame, it encloses a circle fo approximately 43 - 44 inches in diameter.
Pattern pieces included are the full fill (a quarter of the background) and then you have the a and b parts. The a and b parts are the fill divided as most people can not stitch a 25 inch design on their machines. If people want to decrease the size, then the quarter ribbon is the design to use.
The p2p pattern was created to go between the teeth of the Mariner's Compass in order for it to go up and down on its own.
